Not sure how you ended up at this post, you might be in my mentor group or one of my classes or maybe your teacher shared the link, or maybe you are a teacher and your head of grade sent you here. Regardless of how you arrived, let me say welcome.
The story is in three parts and is pretty self-explanatory.Where it goes and how the final chapter plays out depends entirely on your creativity and initiative. Your willingness to do something fun and be a kid again.
Here is part one:
Part two:
You can read more about the project here, but the last part involves you and your creativity, your passion, your drive and need to build and create. It involves your enthusiasm and imagination. I have created an event here. I will not pester you or check up on your or even remind you. I have planted the seed. What will you build? What will you create? How big will this thing get?
You decide if you want to share it with friends and peers on your blogs, on Facebook, Twitter whereever you are online, or if we will simply create and share on our own. I hope at least a few of you begin to build today.
If you are not in my mentor group or any of my classes, please leave a comment stating your interest in the comment section below. RSVP here and start building. We will all (depending on how many we have) gather on the 5th of October and share our creations.
Will there be one or two kids? Zero? 100? You decide. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing your imagination in cardboard.

I really enjoyed these video's seeing the passion of a small kid making a perfect arcade was just...WOW.
ReplyDeleteGreat Laura. Let's see if that passion is contagious. What will you build? What will you dream to life? Get involved and be ready for the 5th!
DeleteThis is just amazing. The fact that this small kid is so ambitious about something is amazing, but he followed his dreams! he made the arcade all by himself and it was so creative and wonderful and fabulous. The smile on his face when he saw everyone crowd around the arcade was just... so nice.
ReplyDeleteWow.... I watched this video with my mouth agape. I didn't know that kids who had that much initiative and self-motivation existed. It is so inspiring to find that an ambitious, creative child who began following his dreams has had so much success. This video has told me that as long as someone has his/her goals set in his/her sights and has the initiative and motivation, success will come automatically. I really hope that Caine will fulfil his dreams someday and hopefully have his own electronic arcade.
ReplyDeleteAs I have mentioned to Laura, I love that this film has moved you. Now START building! Let's see if you can use his passion to fuel your creativity. å
ReplyDeleteReally interesting the way he has created the arcade
ReplyDeleteHey would love to help. I can rally my troops and see who bites. Glad Kaymin is on board already. Can bring cardboard boxes tomorrow. Not sure I can build anything myself but would love to be able to contribute materials. :) Ah, I love that Caine's story tipped with a door handle. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it. Why can't you build something yourself? #seewhatididthere Yes you can MS.G.
DeleteI should have qualified. I think I'd like to leave the building to the students, while I provide cardboard. #stepback Haha.
